This is a French antique folding screen, a giltwood and needlepoint room divider, or photographer's prop, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1890.

Attractive, four fold, graduated screen, often referred to as 'Waterfall'
In fine order and of quality craftsmanship
Quality bi-fold hinges allowing multiple configurations

The serpentine crest rails descend in sinuous form
Shaped, glazed upper panels over needlepoint lower panels
The tapestry of fruiting vines on a golden ground
