This is a weighty Edwardian tobacco jar dating to c.1910.
Riding on four miniature bun feet, the multi-faceted body is exceptionally well made in mahogany and walnut.
The circular lid fits tightly into the body and is decorated with the finest of ebony and box wood 'rope twist' inlay. Crowned with a solid brass, turned knob this is a fine example of it's kind.
Decorative and tactile, this piece is presented in good antique condition.
