This is an Edwardian, English oak revolving bookcase dating to c.1910.
A fine example of it's type, this modest revolving bookcase is carved with geometric, stylised floral pattern set off beautifully by the rich hues of the honey coloured oak streaked with wisps of medullary rays.
Each face of the upper section features a carved panel and accommodates books up to 25.5cm (10") high and 16cm (6.3") deep with a little additional depth in places.
Beneath, the lower section features stunning double open barley twist legs united by a platform base stretcher for added storage and stability. The rotation is smooth and stable, as one would expect in a piece of this quality.
Superb example and a stunning piece presented in good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
