This is an antique Cromwellian, country, 6 plank chest dating to the mid 17th Century around the period of the English Civil War.
A fine example, vigourously and well carved in English oak, displaying the most wonderful aged patina to the weathered boards. This modest example is constructed in classic six plank form with solid joints.
