This is a compact antique coffer. An English, oak carved chest or trunk, dating to the early Georgian period, circa 1720.

- Iron lock escutcheon with broad clasp - key absent
- Interior benefits from an enclosed candle box - superb medullary rays within
- Raised upon four square section stiles
