Arts & Crafts Oak Larder Antique Cabinet, c.1900
Our Stock # LFA-1335
This is an antique, English, Victorian oak larder on stand dating to c.1900.
In classic Arts & Crafts styling and of Liberty quality this oak cabinet displays beautifully with medullary rays and a fine waxed finish. A substantial piece of some weight made from solid, fine cuts of English oak.
The cupboard is raised on a stand with square section legs featuring stop ended chamfered corners united by a low stretcher and an apron decorated with a reciprocating demi-lune fringe detail.
The three cupboard doors, each with field panels edged with the same demi-lune detail found on the stand, close on the original brass catches and enclose voluminous storage divided with three shelves to each section.
A fine country kitchen piece, this substantial cupboard has solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
