This is an antique writing slope. An English, oak travelling correspondence box, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

- Tooled leather skiver in two parts, the upper opening for further storage
- Pair of Gothic revival taste drop handles to each side, over shaped backs
- Circular, working Brahma security lock to the front — key present
- Two glass ink wells situated within a fold-out tray with hidden compartment
- Shield shaped clasp to the skiver an attractive flourish
This is a superb antique writing slope, with eye-catching oak and copious medullary rays. As useful today as it was 100 years ago, this is a fine example of Edwardian travelling convenience. Delivered waxed, polished and ready to delight.
