This is an antique, Victorian chest of drawers dating to c.1900.
In a two over three configuration the grain detail shines through on this late Victorian piece constructed in English walnut displaying a glorious, aged patina.
Raised on a continuous plinth, the end panels feature field panels whilst the twin upper drawers are delineated by a full width cross-bead.åÊ
The upper drawers have a bold field border moulding with all drawers hosting raised, turned lock escutcheons and, most notably, high relief carved handles in the form of walnuts and foliage. All drawers constructed with generous dovetailed joints.
