Antique Victorian Large Davenport

This is a Victorian, antique davenport dating to c.1880.
Rare to find one of such width, this walnut davenport is well figured and in good order with working locks to the top, pen box, drawers and cupboard.
Raised on the original ceramic wheel castors, the front ring turned legs are gently tapered and bracketed beneath the top which is inset with red leather skiver with gold emboss.
Beneath the top are three pigeon holes and the release mechanism for the top side drawer which sits above a bank of four addional drawers. On the opposite side the cupboard door mirrors the design of the drawers and encloses dual shelves.
At the back of the piece is a galleried stationery box divided into six internal compartments.
Superb condition, solid joints, delivered waxed and polished ready for the home.
