This is an antique vanity box. An English, Victorian travelling vanity case in rosewood and dating to the mid 19th century, circa 1850.
- Of fine quality in a sumptuous rosewood case
- Grain interest and a desirable aged patina
- Good, consistent colour and a wax polished finish
- Secured with a working lock and key
- The hinged lid lifts to reveal a suite of glass jars
- Silver plated lids and jars in good order
- The scissors remain from the implements
- Small loop handles lift-out an internal tray offering storage beneath
- A button at the rear of the box releases the lower drawer
- A mirror is concealed behind the ruched, royal blue velvet lid lining
