This is an antique tambour corner cabinet. A Dutch, walnut and oak inlaid cupboard, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.
- Expressive finish and of delightful proportion for corner room placement
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Walnut presents fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
- Oak panelling to rear and interior, with fan-shaped shelf
- Marquetry decor to the top with ebony, boxwood and satinwood inlay
- Fascinating tambour door matches the upper marquetry with sash motif decor and conch shell medallion
- Dressed with a small circular brass pull with central foliate decor, opening left to right
- Further inlaid with an attractive geometric pattern and wheat sheaf decor
- Standing upon a pair of tapered block feet at the front
- Single foot to rear, inset slightly to provide room for skirting boards
