Late Victorian Swing Mirror
Our Stock # LFA-1137
This is an English dressing table swing mirror, a Sheraton revival piece dating to c.1900 in the Victorian era.
Standing on bracket feet, the generous proportions of the beautifully figured walnut stand is framed with feather and cross banding. Offering three drawers with brass button pulls, each is finely made, with dovetailed joints, and follows the delicate curve of the front panel, decorated with subtle feather-band edging and sliding smoothly.
The mirror plate is in good order and mounted within a triple swag form moulded top in harmony with the triple drawers of the stand. The mirror swings between fluted columns with original brass furniture featuring acorn finials.
Larger than average, superb quality and a stunning piece presented in good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
