This is an antique Suiban planter. A Japanese, decorative bronze bonsai jardiniere, in the manner of Murata Seimin, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850. A superb example of Edo period metalwork, with captivating detail and form.

• Fine Japanese craftsmanship in the sought-after Suiban bonsai tradition, ideal for Ikebana or dry landscape arrangements
• Crafted in quality bronze with a pleasing aged patina, adding depth and historic character
