This is an antique sofa table. An English, rosewood drop-leaf side or occasional table dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

Select rosewood showing delightful russet tones
Displays fine grain interest and a desirable aged patina
Shows wonderful tonality from its wax polished finish
A pair of cockbeaded frieze drawers at the front, with faux drawers to the reverse
Each dressed with brass rosette pulls and lined locks, keys absent
Extending leaves supported by shaped elbows, with smooth draw action

Supported by a stout, turned baluster column
Raised upon splayed and swept legs
Dressed with original brass paw feet castors

This is a delightful antique sofa table with fine grain interest. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
