This is an antique six plank coffer, an English oak sword chest, a Charles II, Restoration period trunk dating to circa 1680.

Constructed in stout, inch and a quarter thick stock
Dark rich finish with a desirable aged patina
Traditional, hand forged iron ring hinges
Decorated with later lower moulding and half-column appliqué
Voluminous storage space within

A delightful chest with huge character, solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
