This is an antique silver table. An English, rosewood inlaid display or writing table, dating to the late Georgian period, circa 1780.
- Delightfully presented silver display table from the time of George III
- Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout
- Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
- Accentuated to each surface with inlaid boxwood and ebony stringing
- Fascinating parapet corners add significant character to the top surface
- To the centre, a striking inlaid scallop shell medallion in beautiful golden tones
- Full width drawer with oak-lined box, dressed with a pair of circular pulls and lock escutcheon — key absent
- Raised upon four gently tapering legs with diminutive brass bun feet
