This is an antique silver storage case. An English, mahogany secure keepsake box, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.

Superb Georgian craftsmanship for storing treasured items
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks show rich russet hues and fine grain interest
Ebony trim adds a fine dark contrast to the edges

Stout lid, dressed with a small brass drop handle
Inset brass lined lock, in working order — key present
Pair of brass handles to either side aids ease of carriage
Riding smoothly upon a set of four brass castors
