This is an antique side table. A Chinese, ebonised mahogany and marble jardiniere or planter stand, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Of a darling, diminutive form with deep tonality and quality marble top
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Ebonised finish presents a superb, dark aesthetic to the table
- Quality rouge marble inlaid to the shaped top, with beading to the edge
- Ornate pierced fretwork aprons set between each leg
- Prominent relief forms accentuate the knees with lobed and foliate motif
- Standing upon a bold quartet of ball and claw feet
This is a charming side table, at a useful height for resting coffee or wine atop the inlaid marble, or hosting a jardiniere pot. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
