This is an antique shipwright's tool chest. An English, pine merchants trunk, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1870.
- Lasting Victorian maritime appeal

- Rich caramel hues to the wax polish finish
- Stout lid with gently chamfered edges
- Opens upon brass hinges with chain stay
- Dressed with inset, working brass lock and key
- Replete with iron drop handles on bound backplates
- Inset copper guild emblem to the corner of the lid
- Interior features a sliding tool tray with four compartments
- Hand-painted type reads Master Shipwright G. Hunt, 1893
