This is an antique set of six dining chairs. English, mahogany, hoop-back chairs in the manner of Hepplewhite and dating to the early 20th century in the reign of George V, circa 1930.

• Good consistent colour with a lustrous wax polished finish
• Grain interest with a desirable aged patina

• Hoop-back design with a pierced fanned splat
• Decorated with wheat carved detailing
• Crook shaped armrests to the carvers
• Attractive serpentine seat rails

• Drop in seat pads, easily recovered to suit any décor
• Traditionally stuffed and finished in a quality rouge hide
• Raised on tapered, square section legs, united by a recessed box stretcher
• Bearing a name plate reading 'W. Lomas, Est. 1870, 211-213 Hackney Road, London, E.2'
