This is an antique set of four dining chairs. An English, oak and needlepoint country house suite of chairs in the Chippendale form, dating to the Georgian period of the late 18th century, circa 1790. 

• A wonderful set of late Georgian dining chairs
• Displaying a desirable aged patina
• Select oak shows fine grain interest with wisps of medullary rays

• Elegantly shaped crest rail over fine, Chippendale inspired, pierced back splat
• Drop-in needlepoint seat pads decorated with a foliate tapestry on a blush pink ground
• Raised upon four square section legs, the rears gently swept, united by a box stretcher

This is an antique set of four dining chairs in the Chippendale taste, well suited to the country house dining room. An opportunity to acquire late Georgian furniture, with the craftsmanship you would expect of the period. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
