This is an antique putto table lamp. An Italian, alabaster and gilt metal decorative light, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Dazzling gilt metal used to great effect with fine colour

Quality later lamp shade in silk cotton with concertina fold detail
Acanthus detail to the upper, the lamp accepting a standard small bayonet bulb
Trio of charming putto adorn the lamp base, each holding a long implement
Dressed with a generous length of quality cable, and British Standards compliant 3-pin plug (G Type)
