This is an antique pier mirror, an English Regency, giltwood and gesso, wall mirror dating to the early 19th century circa 1820.
- Highly desirable natural colour and patina to the giltwood frame
- Superb proportions in classical form
- Attractive lattice frieze beneath beaded pediment
- Later plate with a quality hand bevelled edge
- Good reflectivity, displaying very light, desirable foxing
- Twin Greco influenced columns with leaf cup mounts
- Breakfront base with shaped moulding between terminals
A very nice example that would look splendid over a console table. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
