This is an antique pestle and mortar set. An English, brass chemist shop instrument, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Dashing Victorian pestle and mortar with fine display appeal
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Quality brass presents warm golden tonality, with a lightly aged interior
Decorated with gently ribbed concentric bands to the main body
Pestle with turned collar finish shows light ageing at each end
