This is an antique oval mirror. An English, gilt gesso mirror with mercury plate, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.

Domed oval frame decorated with a perimeter braided rope moulding
Finely carved rose foliate wreathes to each direction
Mirror plate with good, age related foxing whilst retaining useful reflectivity
Rear finished with a pair of hanging loops and wire for wall mounting
