This is an antique open bookcase. An English, walnut bookshelf cabinet, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Stout and purposeful bookcase, with a decorative flourish
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select walnut stocks present fine grain interest throughout
Graced with deep caramel hues beneath a wax polished finish

Arrangement of three adjustable and removable shelves
Shelves of deep proportion, with accommodation for medium-large volumes
Each shelf fully adjustable and removable as required
Crown accentuated with a reeded finish and accentuated with carved foliate patera
Standing upon a shaped front plinth foot, with panelled rear plinth

This is an an appealing and generously sized antique open bookcase, with appealing late Victorian craftsmanship. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
