This is an antique Old Saxon armchair. An English, oak Turner's chair or elbow seat, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Strikingly distinctive form in the manner of the 'Old Saxon' chair
Presenting a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Superb oak stocks present excellent grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
Splendid caramel hues accentuate the chair throughout
Fascinating form, with an eye-catching triangular motif and robust stocks
Profusely engraved back rest, the pattern repeated upon the reverse
Dramatic angled bobbin turned arms meet broad hand rests
Legs united with turned stretchers and adjoined with a pair of front rails

This is a delightful antique Old Saxon armchair, with a pleasingly distinctive appearance redolent of the original 17th century example. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
