This is an antique officer's chest. An English, Victorian storage box crafted in flame mahogany dating to the mid 19th century, circa 1850.

Flame mahogany displaying good consistent colour and grain interest
In superb original condition with a desirable aged patina and wax polished finish
Moulded plinth base over attractive bun feet to each corner and frieze moulding to match

Hinged lid with a modest crown moulding displays well
Raised on original, quality brass hinges to reveal a generous space within
A pair of drawers dressed with turned wooden pulls to the lower frieze
Dovetail joints display nicely when drawers are extended

This is an eye-catching, antique officer's chest. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
