This is an antique Monoplane folding cake stand. An English, mahogany afternoon tea table, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

• Arranged as five circular stands with tiered edges and a diameter of 19cm (7.5")
• Rotating upon a central pivot, the stand reaches the horizontal plane
• From here, a further two stands smoothly fan outwards
• Sliding latch locks securely into place - lift outwards and up to return the stand to its upright position

• Shaped lifting handle with arched form stands above the whole
• Oval motif to centre pivot with small domed fixtures in contrasting hues
• Emblem to rear reads 'The Monoplane' registered trademark. British Patent No; 222,276
• Supports united by a diamond-shaped stretcher rail above shaped trestle legs with discrete slipper feet
