This is an antique Lion Rampant doorstop. An English, cast iron decorative heraldic door keeper, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.

Robust and generously sized, with iconic lion form
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Pleasingly heavy, with a weight of 4.87kg (10.73 lb)
Presented with a good, consistent graphite finish throughout
Appealing detail to the flowing mane and powerful body
Raised upon a vault base with scroll shield motif
