This is an antique life pool scoreboard. An English, oak 9 player board by Thurston & Co, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Fascinating antique scoreboard for the 19th century game of Life Pool
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Light oak shows fine grain interest and bright caramel hues
- Dressed with a pair of small brass loops, for ease of wall mounting
- Classical pediment form with a wide crown moulding with matching plinth base
- Celluloid player markers to the left-hand edge with painted player ball colour labels to centre
- Each colour panel slides to reveal the three inset markers - or lives - for scoring
- Maker's emblem to the pediment for Thurston & Co - Catherine Street, Strand in London
- Details the royal appointment granted by Queen Victoria and The Prince of Wales, Prince Albert
