This is an antique library side table. An English, mahogany and leather oval occasional table with slide, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Attractive side table dressed with a quality leather top
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Solid mahogany offers superb weight at 16.6kg (36.6lb)
- Fine grain interest and deep russet hues beneath a wax polish finish
- Gently rolled edge frames the quality skiver, presented in a dark ivy green leather
- Hidden candle slide extends smoothly from beneath the top
- Supported upon a shaped central column, issuing four serpentine legs
- Each leg finished with a carved scrolled toe
