This is an antique lectern, an English oak, prayer, book or music stand. Scottish, Victorian gothic, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1880.

Delightful russet tones to the English oak
Grain interest through the lustrous, wax polished finish

Robust and stable with broad plank kneeling stretcher
Shaped legs with chamfered corners rise to support the lipped platform
Decorated and supported by a gothic arch with pierced triple arced detail
