This is an antique lectern. An English, oak ecclesiastical book rest or prie dieu, dating to the late Victorian era, circa 1900.

Attractive rest with superb figuring
Displays a desirable aged patina
Quarter-cut oak resplendent with fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
Rich caramel hues throughout its wax polish finish
