This is an antique lectern document rest. An English, mahogany and bronze retail or hotel display stand, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

Of graceful form and an appreciably versatile rest
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks show light caramel hues and fine grain interest
Surface adorned with bronze runners, creating a trio of sections
Striking bronze ends with sinuous curvature, terminating in shaped feet
