This is an antique jardiniere plant stand, a carved Asian torchere dating to the late 19th century circa 1880.
- A profusely carved stand very well executed
- Teak with an appropriate ebonised finish
- Generous, deep dished bowl receptacle
- Standing upon hoofed feet beneath a nest of mythical serpents
- Rising through a pierced carving of a snake constricting a bird
- A lavishly carved bowl and apron of fruit and foliate detail
