This is an antique Highland hotel guest key box. A Scottish, mahogany country house reception keeper, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
- Delightfully presented key box with wonderful Highland taste
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Select stocks present fine grain interest and deep russet hues
- Letterbox and hanging loops in brass present warm golden tones
- Shaped pediment back rest accentuated with oak leaf detail with dentil moulding to the tiered crown edge
- Drop keys through a letterbox slot finished in quality brass
- Striking carved door fascia with relief cross keys motif
- Door dressed with a shaped lock escutcheon — in working order, key present
