This is an antique hall mirror. A Scottish, oak valet mirror in the manner of Mackintosh and of the Arts & Crafts movement taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- A splendid hall mirror revelling in strong grain interest
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and of very good order
- Select Scottish oak with a bountiful distinction of medullary rays
- Original mirror plate of generous square proportion
- Demi-lune surmount decorated with a carved flower motif
- Broad wing shape with square openings frame the mirror to centre
- Displaying desirable light foxing, the mirror plate is of bright reflective quality
- Dressed with seven useful hooks for hats, scarves and coats
- Pair of small brass loops for wall mounting
