Early 20th Century Two Drawer Side Table

This is an antique, early 20th Century two drawer side table.
In a late Regency style and super quality, displaying wonderful colour, good grain detail and patina, this side table offers a variety of uses; Side or lamp table, specimen chest or canteen as currently fitted out.
The top features a serpentine edge moulding with central brass plaque (that could be removed if required) that reads: "Presented to the Reverend John Gilbert M.A. by the members of the congregation of St. Nathanaels Church, Cotham on the occasion of his marriage July 28th 1925".
Beneath the top a pair of frieze drawers are dressed with ring handles on pressed brass back plates and flank central working locks and key with brass keyhole liners.
The table is raised on four elegant, proud and tapering, cabriole legs terminating in bulb feet.
Great quality this piece has solid joints and comes delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
