This is an antique free standing fireplace. An English, cast iron fire basket in the Adam style, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Delightfully presented free standing fire grate
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Cast iron resplendent in a consistent graphite finish
- Representing the Adam style with classical motif and forms
- Dome top fire back adorned with a relief neoclassical fire pit motif
- Bow-front fire basket with a trio of rolled stretchers to the fore
- Removable grate aids ease of cleaning
- Sweeping buttresses engraved with fleur-de-lys emblems
- Pierced fretwork front apron sweeps sinuously from leg to leg
- Quartet of ball-topped finials stand prominently
- Raised upon four tapering column legs with contrasted brass ball toes
