This is an antique footstool. An English, Victorian, dome-topped, walnut carriage stool dating to the mid 19th century circa 1840.

Solid walnut, displays well with a wax polished finish
Carved scrolled design with foliate detail
Traditionally stuffed beneath a golden damask cloth
Finished with a matching brocade trim
Of quality craftsmanship and in good order throughout
