This is an antique pair of firedogs, or andirons, in iron and dating to the end of the Victorian period c.1900.

Crafted in iron, heavy and stable
Standing upon an arched leg with flattened feet
Robust, square section posts
Featuring a pair of spit hooks
Topped with cup dogs; originally used to keep small pots or drinks warm

Polished in a traditional graphite finish these dogs are supplied ready for the home.
