This is an antique fire grate. An English, cast iron basket fireplace, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Gently curving, pleasing form - ideal for an open hearth
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Substantial cast iron in good order throughout
Presented with a good, consistent graphite finish throughout
Grate suitable for all fuel types including coal and logs
Raised upon a distinctive quartet of splayed legs
