This is an antique farrier's chest. An English, pine and iron bound tool trunk, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

• Iron bound corners adds appreciable strength and durability

• The stout lid dressed with an engraved brass plate and reads '1918 N.14. 199'
• Secured by way of long iron clasp, the lid opens to reveal rich caramel hues
• Lid interior stamped with the crown mark 'A.M. 1936'
• Opens smoothly on long sliding hinge arm

• AM painted in cursive stencil to the front fascia
• Hand-painted 195 in cream is an eye-catching touch
• Trunk interior features a selection of trays for tools or personal effects
• Dressed with a pair of iron drop handles with broad keepers
