This is an antique farrier's chest. An English, pine and iron bound tool trunk, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
- Attractive antique chest with period appeal - ideal as a coffee table
- Displays a desirable aged patina
- Pine stocks presented in a weathered ebonised finish
- Iron bound corners adds appreciable strength and durability
- The stout lid dressed with an engraved brass plate and reads '1918 N.14. 199'
- Secured by way of long iron clasp, the lid opens to reveal rich caramel hues
- Lid interior stamped with the crown mark 'A.M. 1936'
- Opens smoothly on long sliding hinge arm
- AM painted in cursive stencil to the front fascia
- Hand-painted 195 in cream is an eye-catching touch
- Trunk interior features a selection of trays for tools or personal effects
- Dressed with a pair of iron drop handles with broad keepers
