This is an antique estate desk. A Scottish, oak library table with leather skiver in Gothic revival taste, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

• Presented with a later, quality tooled and embossed leather skiver

• Prominent, stout upper profile with deep apron and carved, canted corners
• Tastefully inset, the leather skiver accentuated with gold tooled borders and embossed to perimeter
• Pair of concealed drawers reside across the front with blind pulls to the trailing edge
• Rhombus panels adorn each corner, with delicately carved angles catching the light

• Raised upon a pair of thick, enthusiastically carved supports
• Expressing the Gothic revival overtones, scrolled and heraldic motif in abundance
• Stretcher foot rest with deep profile unites both sides
• Standing on shaped bracket feet, riding smoothly upon inset castors
