This is an antique dresser base. An English, oak sideboard, dating to the Georgian period and later, circa 1750.

Of delightful proportion with superb antique oak figuring
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select oak shows fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
Deep caramel and chestnut hues beam beneath a wax polish finish

Arranged with a trio of inset drawers over three
Each dressed with brass drop handles over circular back plates
Usefully sized top surface for correspondence writing or dinner service
Standing upon four distinctive spade-shape stile legs
