This is an antique, Edwardian dresser base dating to c.1910.
A good quality Georgian revival piece made at the turn of the last century, this oak dresser base displays good grain detail in the waxed finish, well suited to the country kitchen look.
Raised on stout, square section legs to the rear and baluster, turned front legs united by a deep, serpentine apron, the ends feature chamfered field panels. The back similarly and unusually featuring field panels also ‰ÛÒ a sign of quality.
The deep drawers are arranged linearly with a pair of narrower drawers flanking a broader central drawer. Each dressed with brass drop handles over pierced brass batwing plates.
The top is of stout stock finished with a moulded edge detail with good patina offering a stable, generous surface.
A very well made piece with solid joints, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
