This is an antique double pier cabinet. An English, tiger mahogany glazed display cupboard, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
- Graced with delightful inlaid detail and rich colour
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
- Select stocks present superb grain interest
- Exquisite colour throughout, with warm caramel hues
- Boxwood marquetry accentuates the fascia and door frames
- Distinctive bookmatched shield-shaped mounts adorn the upper and lower frame
- Generously sized pair of glazed doors, with clear, bright original plates
- Door dressed with an inset, brass-lined lock — key present
- Opening to reveal the original velvet lined interior, the shelf edge finished with exposed stocks
- Standing upon a quartet of block feet with sash lower apron
