This is an antique decorative vanity case. A Japanese, lacquer and Mother of Pearl lidded box, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Pleasing lacquered finish to the case with dark brown hues and subtle hints of deep red
Inlaid with shimmering Mother of Pearl decor, accentuated with gilt finish
