This is an antique country house luggage stand. A Scottish, walnut folding valet by Wylie & Lochhead of Glasgow, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.
- Of superb quality - ideal for a luxury hotel, or grand estate
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
- Select walnut stocks present fine grain interest
- Excellent colour, with rich biscuit and caramel hues
- Folding X-frame form, united by a pair of later, textured leather straps
- Taut when extended, the straps ideal for hosting small luggage
- Raised upon a quartet of tapered cylindrical feet
- Engraved with the 'Wylie & Lochhead, Glasgow' maker's mark and serial number
